As a custom mining locomotive manufacturer, we have completed factory testing and shipment of a batch of 2.5-ton lithium battery locomotives engineered for a major gold mining customer’s mine park in China.

The customer required more than a standard mine locomotive. The equipment needed to haul sightseeing carriages, fit the visual identity of the mine park and create an enjoyable visitor experience, while still retaining the dependable drive and braking functions expected from mining equipment.
Our engineering team converted these requirements into an integrated design. The project included a customized orange body, dedicated mounting and wiring for headlights, audio equipment and a display, plus an audio system able to work with the speakers installed on the passenger carriages.

The locomotives use mine-duty variable-frequency traction motors, variable-frequency speed regulation and hydraulic braking. This configuration provides smooth control for passenger operation and maintains the load-handling foundation needed for mine transport.
Customization requires coordinated work across the frame, wheelsets, transmission, battery installation, electrical control, cab layout and external enclosure. The production team checked component positions and interfaces during assembly so the additional sightseeing systems could be incorporated without disrupting the locomotive’s core functions.

Every custom mining locomotive begins with the operating conditions. Before finalizing a design, our team can evaluate track gauge, route length, gradient, curve radius, hauling load, required operating time, braking needs and the mine environment.
Based on those inputs, available customization can cover the battery system, traction and control configuration, braking method, cab and body structure, lighting, monitoring display, audio or communication equipment, paint color and interfaces with passenger or material cars. Final options are selected for the actual project rather than added as isolated accessories.
After assembly, this batch underwent factory running and functional testing. Engineers checked movement, speed regulation, braking, lighting, display operation and audio linkage. The units were then protected, secured on the truck and dispatched to the customer.

This project demonstrates our ability to combine non-standard features with proven mining locomotive systems, from engineering and fabrication to integration, testing and delivery. As a custom mining locomotive manufacturer, we can develop equipment around your railway conditions, transport task and site-specific requirements.
