How to choose a mining electric locomotive?
As you can tell from the name, mining electric locomotives are electric locomotives used for mine production.
The mining electric locomotive is generally used as the power source of rail transportation, and its work has many contents, such as transporting ore, waste rock, materials, equipment or personnel. Therefore, its types and models are also varied. So how to choose the right mining electric locomotive?
The first is to determine the type and quantity of electric locomotives needed according to the type and scale of the mine. According to whether there are potential dangerous factors such as gas in the mine, it is determined whether to use an explosion-proof battery electric locomotive or an ordinary mining electric locomotive? Does a single transportation task require a large mining electric locomotive, or is the capacity of a small and medium-sized mining electric locomotive sufficient? Several mining electric locomotives have already met the production capacity of the mine, or do they need a dozen or even dozens of them?
The second is to determine the type of mining electric locomotive according to the needs of the mine. There are three types of mining electric locomotives: trolley electric locomotives, battery electric locomotives and trolley-battery double energy electric locomotives. The trolley locomotive is suitable for long-distance and long-term use, but it needs to do preliminary construction such as overhead lines. The battery electric locomotive is relatively convenient to use, and it can be put into work if there is a track. However, the cruising range is limited by the battery, and it is generally recommended to be within 5km. Trolley-battery locomotives are relatively flexible, but obviously more expensive, and there is a functional mode that is usually idle.
Finally, there are some configuration choices on the details of mining electric locomotives, such as the choice of pure mechanical, hydraulic or air brake for the brake system; whether to add a pneumatic sand sprinkler for the air brake; the choice of resistance speed regulation and chopper speed regulation for speed regulation. Or frequency conversion speed regulation; whether unmanned transformation is required, and so on.
