How to prolong the service life of 5-ton mining electric locomotive battery?

The service life of the 5-ton mining electric locomotive is mainly related to three aspects - the car body, the motor and the battery, which are also the three parts of the simplified splitting of the 5-ton mining electric locomotive. If you want to extend the service life of the 5-ton mining electric locomotive, it is natural to target its various parts. The content of this article is how to extend the battery life of mining electric locomotives.

1. Precautions when charging for the first time: It is recommended that the electrolyte in the battery be 15mm higher than the electrode plate. If it is too high, it is easy to overflow due to the large amount of heat generated during the initial charging, which makes the electrolyte corrode the battery box and the ground. Too low may cause the electrolyte to evaporate too much, thereby reducing the battery capacity and even shortening the battery life.

2. The configuration of the electrolyte: the density of the electrolyte is relatively safe, but the capacity of the battery will be reduced. The electrolyte density is too high, although the battery capacity will increase. But at the same time, the self-discharge rate will also increase, and it will also increase the corrosion of the electrode plate and the separator.

3. Standard use: Although most of the batteries are currently equipped with BMS, it is best to prevent problems such as overcharging and overdischarging.

4. Daily maintenance: check the status of the battery more. Are there areas of excessive wear, loose fasteners, sufficient electrolyte, etc.

5. Proper management: It is recommended to set up a charging room for centralized charging, and provide charging in the charging room. This can not only avoid some problems that may occur during charging, such as whether the electrolyte can be replenished in time. At the same time, it also protects the health of the staff. Because the battery will still generate a certain amount of harmful gases when charging, centralized charging can also better handle these gases.
